Spring Walk

The spring walk this year will be held next Sunday (21st Oct) at 4pm.

We will be meeting at Joan and Alec Howitt's place at the end of Bretton Road.

We will walk through the Bretton catchment and along the new "Howitt's Bush Track", stopping to admire and identify the many wildflowers that are now out.

There will be copies available of the new CMA publication 'Native Plants of the slopes and mountains of the NSW Eastern Murray Catchment'. This is a lovely brochure with glossy colour photos of the wildflowers of this area.

If the walkers wish to have an evening meal they could bring meat etc. Bbq cutlery plates and some salads will be available. Perhaps rsvp couple of days before would be a good idea. Joan 6021 6880, Susie 6021 2618

POWER TO COMMUNITY CENTRE

Mains electricity is now switched on to the Community Centre and Fire Station. We can kiss goodbye to the generator. A big thankyou to  Phil Pitman, Dave Ryan and others for completing the Electricals. We now have heating and power so we are ready to rock. Next project is to concrete the front verandah and the building will then be almost complete.

WATER OUTAGE

Both of the schemes pumps have malfunctioned and as a result the scheme is currently without water. The parts required to get the sytem operating are now in Albury and we are waiting on the contractor to install one new pump. With a bit of luck this may be completed by Friday this week. Keep an eye on the water scheme board for updates.
